Reporting an absence

If your child is absent from school with a communicable disease or an illness which will necessitate your child missing several days of school, the parent/guardian is to:

1.  Call the attendance office in the morning 201-599-7200 and follow the prompts to report the absence.

2.  Log into your Genesis Parent Portal by 9:00am for the current day and follow steps on How to Notify Attendance Office

The student must check in with the nurse upon return to school. If the student is absent with mononucleosis, scarlet fever, strep throat, conjunctivitis or any other communicable disease, a note from the doctor is required to return to school.
